SUPPORT SERVICES COMMITTEES

Let me formally introduce myself to those of you who don't know me. I’m Sara-Lynn Hickam, a social member of Virginia 8 for nearly 8 years. I am a dual member as well of Australia 6. While I currently live in Central Virginia I was born and raised in NE Wisconsin.

While with VA8 I have been the fundraiser chairperson and the webmaster for just about the entire time I've been a Red Knight. I was appointed as the Region 4 reporter by Steve Williamson in 2019. I have also been serving as an admin on the All Chapters and MAL page on Facebook. I am the creator of the Sunday Night Zooms, which was created as a source for Red Knights to get together during the Pandemic. This resource was extremely successful and has brought Red Knights from all over the world together and improved communications within the membership. Due to the success, I’ve continued the Zooms till mid-2023. Due to the Sunday Night Zooms, I was also fortunate enough to be awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award at the convention in 2022.

I have been blessed to travel to 6 Dixies, 3 Bootleggers, several New Jersey After Christmas Parties, and the International Convention in Johnstown, PA. I’ve also Completed Grand Tour Master. All of these events and miles over the years with my husband “Wink” (Mike Hickam), occasionally my daughter, “HME” (Mattie-Lynn), and with my beloved traveling family!
