When I was in the 9th grade my father helped open Explorer post 13 in the Cadyville New York. That is where my love for the fire service and helping people began. I served with the Cadyville Volunteer Fire Department for many years in many different rolls, from Jr Firemen up to President. Fire service is in my DNA, both my grandfathers were charter 50+ year members in their respective fire departments in Clinton County New York and assisted many departments open and grow. One even helped start an EMS rescue squad way back when.
I was born in Plattsburgh New York in June, of 1990. I grew up in Cadyville, New York a few miles outside of town and moved up the road a few more miles with my wife Katie to Dannemora, New York. We have lived here with all of our animals for 8 years now, in the true upstate New York Adirondack Mountains! Katie and I have been married for six amazing years and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I work for the Plattsburgh International Airport as the building maintenance mechanic and have done so for 12 years. The first 8 years at the airport I was a second call Airport Rescue Fire Freighter. Before my time at the airport, I spent my days as a 911 dispatcher for my county which is a job I will never forget.
My time in the Red Knights has been rewarding beyond belief. I have formed unimaginable friendships across the globe. It all started on June 6th, 2013, as New York Chapter 50 was officially chartered in Plattsburgh New York. Since then, I have served as chapter president. In 2017 I was elected as the New York State association treasurer and have moved up through the ranks serving as Vice President and now President.
