Hello! My name is Delainey Thorud and I am your International Newsletter Editor. Below is some background on me and the different aspects of my life. I look forward to working with the amazing team of Regional Reporters to keep you informed and engaged with all things Red Knights!
I joined the Red Knights (Minnesota Chapter 4) with my dad in 2014 as a Junior Member and have since become a Social Member. I grew up riding with my dad, going to meetings, and learning how special the Red Knights organization is. I can truly say that I would not be where I am today without my Red Knights Family... I even wrote my college admissions essay on how much this club has impacted me!
I graduated from Drake University with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, majoring in public relations and minoring in marketing. I currently hold multiple communications focused jobs in the nonprofit industry and have significant experience in newsletter creation and publication, nonprofit communications, and member services.
I live in the suburbs of Minneapolis with my cat, Benji. I love going on rides and attending rallies in the summer and meeting up with our chapter members for (cage) dinner rides in the winter. This year, I hope to start going on Grand Tour Rides and earning some patches!
